Born in Poprad, Slovakia, Mgr. Lucia Bérešová, Ph.D. embarked on a career
in conducting at the age of 14 in a choir in her hometown.
She has graduated from the University of Presov and finished her post-graduate studies on choir conducting at the Academia Muzyczna in Bydgoszcz.
She then pursued her doctorate degree focusing on conducting at the Akademia Muzyczna in Cracow, Poland. She is also a graduate of various courses such as Conducting 21C in The Eric Ericson International Choral Center in Stockholm and of the classes of Lone Larsen, Andre de Quadros and many other masterly conducting courses in Europe.
